Joker Poker is played with a 53 card deck, instead of the normal 52 cards. The extra card is a Joker and is a wild card.

Natural Royal Flush
This is a combination of the following cards of the same suit: A, K, Q, J and 10.
Note:
This combination must be a natural hand and cannot be completed with the Joker.

The following combinations can be completed with the Joker:
Five of a Kind
This is a combination of four cards of the same denomination and the Joker.
Joker Royal Flush
This is a combination where the Joker completes a Royal Flush.
Straight Flush
This is a combination of five cards of the same suit in sequence.
Four of a Kind
This is a combination of four cards of the same denomination.
Full House
This is a combination of three cards of the same denomination, and two cards of another denomination.
Flush
This is a combination of five cards of the same suit.
Straight
This is a combination of five cards of any suit in sequence.
Three of a Kind
This is a combination of three cards of the same denomination, and any two other cards.
Two Pairs
This is a combination of two denominative pairs and any other card.
Kings or Better
This is a combination of either a pair of Kings or Aces, and three unmatched cards.

Strategy for playing Joker video poker


Remember that only K and A are high cards: this is a Kings or Better game.
Keep a Joker if you get it. You'll only see it once in ten hands, on average.
Don't keep an inside Straight.
Straight Flushes are a good payer and they occur considerably more frequently than in a game like Jacks or Better.
