Hollywood’s love affair with Vegas dates as far back as the 1950s. The Rat Pack – Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, James Dean and their pack of party animals - brought casino glamour firmly into style and onto the big screen. Sipping a martini in the high rollers lounge, playing for high stakes and loving every second of it.

The world was a completely different place five decades later, but Hollywood took us right back to that old-school Vegas glamour with Ocean’s Eleven, the slick, high-budget remake of a Rat Pack casino classic. Starring the new Rat Pack – Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon and the Farrelly brothers – the film was a hit. The suits were sharp and the women gorgeous… but the background reflected the stylish modern casino, complete with art galleries and state-of-the-art technology.

It just goes to show: Hollywood and Vegas may change, but casino glamour – the sounds, the style, the smooth operators – never dies.
